A tee branch with a MZI and an output cable is a composite unit of a pipeline system with three connecting ends, which is designed to attach lateral pipe branches to the main line and distribute flows along pipelines. In this case, the working medium changes its direction at an angle of 90°. The metal insulation plug serves as protection against moisture penetration and possible mechanical damage in the working section of the temporarily suspended pipeline laying, and is also installed at the boundaries of the transition of an insulated pipe to a steel non-insulated one. The output cable is used to connect wires to the terminals of the UDC system.
Example of a symbol in an order specification:
A branch tee with an outside diameter of the main pipe of 108 mm, a wall thickness of
4 mm and a branch pipe of 76 mm in diameter, a wall thickness of 3 mm, with type 1 insulation made of polyurethane foam in a polyethylene shell, with a metal insulation plug of 200 mm in length and an output cable:
A branch tee St108x4-76×3-1-PPU-PE-200K with MZI and KV
A branch tee with an outside diameter of the main pipe of 108 mm, a wall thickness of
4 mm and a branch pipe of 76 mm in diameter, a wall thickness of 3 mm, with polyurethane foam insulation in a galvanized shell, with a metal insulation plug of 200 mm in length and an output cable:
A branch tee St108x4-76×3-PPU-OC-200K with MZI and KV
Note:
The distance from the end of the pipe to the metal insulation plug is 70 mm – for steel pipes with a diameter of up to 219 mm inclusive, 110 mm – for pipes of other diameters.
