The coupling is made of heat-shrinkable polyethylene. After heat-shrinkage of the polyethylene coupling, the joint is welded to the polyethylene shells of the mating elements using a heating element – a specially designed copper tape. When the polyethylene melts, a homogeneous material is formed.
